It’s been too long since we had a new season of Survivor to discuss, but our long national nightmare is finally over. San Juan del Sur: Blood vs. Water 2, the most unwieldy title in Survivor history, started us off with a few new twists to a still-relatively-new gimmick.
The 90-minute premiere (and our unwillingness to record a pre-season preview) gave us plenty to discuss in this week’s podcast: Why is Survivor fascinated with casting awful people? How did this cast get lost on the way to Amazing Race casting? Did Tyler Perry veto Redemption Island’s return, and if so do we all need to send him a thank you note?
We’ll discuss all of these things (well, at least two of these things) and more on this episode. We also give our first impressions of the cast, induct someone into the Zero Percent Club, and introduce the Quitter Power Rankings.
As always, we welcome your feedback either here or on one of the many other avenues you can reach us (especially Twitter: @purplerockpod or gmail: purplerockpodcast). Thanks for listening!
