The Purple Rock Survivor podcast: Worlds Apart cast preview

Purple Rock Survivor podcast: Fan-casting Survivor: Worlds Apart (a.k.a. Survivor: Collars- White vs. Blue vs. No)

It’s here! It’s finally here! At last you can find out who you should be rooting for in Survivor: Worlds Apart! There’s Shirin! Jenn! Dan! Max! And the rest! We discuss every single member of this season’s cast, and what we expect from each of them. Advance warning: We left the bleep button in the rearview on this one, so a few profanities will be heard. Sorry in advance if that offends you. But if you’re here reading this, I’m guessing it doesn’t. Fuckin’ A, right?

Listen to this one and find out our biases now to prepare yourself for the season. You’ll also get to hear us say douchebag more than we’ve ever said it on the show, up to and including last season’s “Drewchebag” episode. We also talk about flirting a lot, which I’m sure you’re totally expecting. Because if there’s anyone you want to hear about flirting from, it’s us.

How does this season’s cast stack up to last season’s? That’s like comparing apples and dumpster fires. This season is loaded. And if you weren’t already excited for it, this podcast should get you there.

Of course, we welcome your comments, as long as you accept that I will tolerate absolutely zero dissent on my love for Shirin and Max. You can leave a comment here, tweet us @purplerockpod, or email us at purplerockpodcast on gmail. Thanks for listening!

  1. Gordon Holmes “All of the questions (flirting, lying, aligning) are pretty much jumping off points to figure out if they have any limits or to see how they’ll approach situations. My goals are pretty much, who are you and how will you play this game.”

  2. Fun fact: Jonny “Fairplay” also had disk golf as a hobby in his PI bio as his favorite sport to play.

I don’t remember if it was on the show or in an interview, but T-Bird (Teresa Cooper) from Africa called going on Survivor a business trip too. Which is weird because she’s pretty much the opposite of Brian.

  3. “The manual labour of using scissors”… Mmmhmmm, clearly some people don’t know a whole lot about what constitutes manual labour. Regardless of how anyone might categorize hairdressing, however more important in regards to Lindsey is a blue collar mentality and she’s got it.

    1. I actually like Lindsey! Maybe it didn’t come across clearly enough. Her “dating” answer was one of my favorite things in all the bios.

Regardless of how much I like her, though, I don’t see her doing well in the game.
