Pick-4 League

Our winner would have been Angelina’s Jacket. But two weeks after the initial Angelina’s Jacket entry, they dropped Sophie for Kristina. I left both teams in because I’m very lazy, but now that we’ve reached season’s end and that ineligible team finished in first, I’ve gotten off my lazy ass and deleted it. Womp womp! Thus, this season’s winner is…Lira2012! Congratulations to Lira, who will receive an invitation to next season’s Champions League.

Has a Face On It finishes in second, just a single point behind Lira. Carterfan finishes in third place. Kristanxmarie concludes a dominant fantasy season by finishing in 5th place. The actual Angelina’s Jacket team comes in 7th place. Carolyn Screams finishes 8th. The delightfully-named team of bassman and Violina’s child comes in 9th. RBs Playas finishes in 11th. Mike Hirsch takes 12th. Copper Jalapeno, sibling of Cooper Jalapeno, finishes 13th. Season one fantasy leaguer Adam B nabs 15th place, one spot ahead of Assistant Dragon Slayer.

Now on to the important stuff: Champions League. Next season is an odd one in that it has 24 players, the most they’ve ever had in one season. After initially toying with the option of only having eight teams (with each of those teams drafting three players), my trusted math expert Brad offered up some reasons for why such a draft would be near-impossible to make the draft positions fairly weighted. And, as I’m sure you’ve all realized by now, I don’t like doing extra work. So instead, here’s what we’re doing: 12 teams, each drafting two players.

Despite not having the winner of the season, Kristanxmarie crushes the competition with a balanced team of Sophii. The Ladder comes in second with a team where one player did a bit of the heavy lifting, scoring-wise. DJ Cambodia finishes in third. Burnt French Fries in 3 Dystopias finishes in a tie with Stick to the Plan for 4th place, the final automatic-invite spot. Unfortunately for BFF3D, Stick to the Plan wins the tie-breaker by having the highest-finishing player between the two tied teams (Rizo).
