Survivor David vs Goliath Week 10 Predictions

Welcome to your week 10 predictions, AKA the week when Andy was too sick to prep the post on time and I was also sick, but less so.

Staff Predictions

Andy

Angelina will be justifiably pissed for the way her alliance keeps casually throwing her overboard and thus offer her services to the Davids. She’ll give them logical arguments as to why the target should be Alec. But, since she’s Angelina, she’ll be way too Extra about it and overplay her status as the flipper. Which will annoy the Davids enough to just vote Angelina out, since they don’t actually need her vote so much as they need her NOT voting with the rest of the Goliaths. After that, they’ll vote out Alec for all the reasons Angelina presented.

PS- I’m still the one who pasted in the non-Emma responses, updated the table, and made the polls. But, sure, I’ll give Emma the byline because I’m legit grateful for any bit of help right now. I am dying. Editor’s note: I mean, I didn’t have access to the non-me responses and don’t know how to do the table or polls. I’m not a monster who forced him to do work or anything.

Brad

As much as I think that Angelina is turning into a terrific goat and that she has the greatest chance of any Goliath to make the finale, I also think that the other most likely outcome is that this week is the end of the line for Angelina. She’ll be up in arms about the two votes she received, and she’ll try to work with the Davids as she abandons the Goliaths. But as all the other Goliaths likewise want Angelina gone, the Davids will flip this on Angelina for an easy consensus boot.

The second boot is a little hazier to predict. I have a feeling it might be Mike White, but that seems too simple. Instead, I’ll predict that the Davids will try to break up the tight Goliath alliance of three between Alec, Alison, and Kara by targeting Alec. But Alec will win immunity, so they’ll decoy the Goliaths with a Mike boot while sending Alison to Ponderosa in a blindside.

Emma

I hate predicting double episodes. There is such a strong possibility that whatever happens in the first hour changes everything. But you gotta do what you gotta do, right? Last week I predicted what I thought made the most sense strategically and was almost 100% correct. (Stupid Nick had to get creative and steal Allison’s vote instead of Dan’s.) So once again I’ll just go with what I think would be smart. Sure, no one is going to lose to Angelina, but she’s an agent of chaos and that looks like it’s not going to change. More importantly, the Goliaths are not about to go to rocks for her. Angelina is voted out for the first episode. Then things get tricky, as the Davids have an actual majority for the first time. Three victories against the Goliaths in a row may make them feel antsy about voting for one of their own, but why give up the numbers after just getting them? So instead they target a threat (i.e. not Mike). It could really be anyone who has talked about working with them, but let’s go with Alec. He’s an immunity threat and Matt predicted him on the podcast and he’s pretty good at this before the finale happens.

John

I want to note first that I asked if I could pick the same person for both episodes, just to hedge my bets. Alas, Andy forced me to be held to a higher standard, which is probably sexist somehow. Anyway, I think we lose Alec this week, and I’m just not sure if he’ll be the first or second to go. My guess is that he’ll be the first target, but there’s always the possibility he wins immunity. But you know who definitely isn’t winning immunity? Mike. And that’s why Mike is going home in the first episode. Alec goes home second, presumably after he voted with the Davids in the first episode to vote out Mike.

Mark

After getting votes last tribal, Angelina has no ties to the Goliaths, so she is willing to flip both tables and the script. If Alec gets immunity, Kara is in the crosshairs, having been close to Dan. Once the David’s have the numbers advantage, they can afford to lose a member, and I think a dustup between Gabby and Carl will be all that the dominant Davids need to maintain the peace and give him the (cowboy) boot. Plus I think Carl’s entire story is based on the nullifier, and now that that’s out of the game, so will he.

Matt

On the podcast I said first boot is Alison, and second boot is Alec. Basically the Davids turn on the Goliaths that promised them the most cooperation without ever actually giving it.
