Let this be a lesson to you kids: Physical activity without a defined objective is a terrible idea.

About a quarter of you had Matthew on your team. And he basically almost died. But also he scored 15 points, which is 15 points per working shoulder he had by the end.

Scoring was minimal this week- which also serves as an excellent summary of my teenage years.

Immunity points: 3 points to Brandon, Carson, Kane, Lauren, and Matthew. 2 points to Danny, Frannie, Heidi, Jaime, Matt.

VTEP points: No points given to the on-site medical team.

Pick-4 League

At the end of the day…is still the leader, but is likely to start falling off after losing Matthew. In fact, about half of the top 20 had Matthew, so they’re going to start dropping soon. But in the meantime: Shout out to Rogue Wall Enthusiast and Forever1267’s bangbus for staying in the top 5. Side Character, Orangealfy, TheForRealDeal, Adam B, It’s a Fucking Stick, Has a Face on it (now that’s some juxtaposition), Dubious Rob, a sweet child of mine, Morgoth, Muggle, and SNP all made the top 20. Several of you have already lost two players, so the hurt is about to start coming. But for now, enjoy your moment in the sun.

Champions League:

Forever1267 and Mike Hirsch remain a 1-2 punch at the top of the standings. No Eyes in Blindfold and Ainslee are desperately fending off challenges for the other two automatic-invite spots, but that’s going to get difficult as each of them has now lost a player after Matthew went home this week.

Other leagues

I suppose this week I can acknowledge that the JV Squad has made their own 5-team league. It is a league that consists of 4 actual teams that they picked, as well as a team of players they didn’t (those players got duplicated through a process known as “science”). Currently sitting in the lead of that league? The players not picked, a team known as The Leftovers. Obviously my instinct is to make that team my rooting interest because it would be very funny to have every member of this league somehow lose. But The Leftovers shares a name with a show I found too bleak to watch, so instead I’m going to select ADS for my endorsement because I like that he chose the most entertaining players available (though I would quibble with Kane/Zane being on that team).

And yes, I’m going to get to Ainslee, Charles, and Sam soon.
