Survivor Edge of Extinction Week 3 Predictions

Time to predict who will join Reem and (probably) Keith on THE Edge of Extinction. Unless they are unable to go, I suppose

The nice part about early chalk picks is that you can hope that means the interesting players will remain the game longer. The dull part is that there’s no real reason to not continue to predict chalk picks until presented with evidence otherwise. I’m not saying it couldn’t be someone other than Aubry or Wendy, I’m just saying that doing so is either just refusing to pick against a fave or wishful thinking for more interesting outcomes.

Brad

Wendy. Y’all know why.

For the tribe that isn’t going to tribal, Aubry is the person who looks most on the outs. But Kama isn’t going to tribal; I’m just pointing that out.

Emma

Manu: If not for the previews of this week’s episode, I’d be very torn between Wentworth and Wendy. We’ve now seen people genuinely willing to vote Wentworth, but Wendy still (as far as we can tell, having not seen the votes) hasn’t been willing to vote along with the group, making her an unreliable pawn. They both have challenge abilities. But I did see the “next time on Survivor” section, and that ankle doesn’t look good. I’ll say Wendy does not get med evac’d, but does get voted out. I’ll even be so bold to say that because of the injury she will not go to the Island of Extinction, mostly because that won’t affect my point total if I’m wrong.

Kama: We have yet to be shown anyone besides Aubry even be considered as a target on this tribe.

John

Joe tribe: I remain fairly confident in Joe and the Sub-Joes, but on the off chance that they do manage to lose this one, I’ll believe the hype that these newbies want the returnees gone and they unite to take out Aubry. Because why would you take out Joe first? You just got that sweet fishing gear. May as well make him feed you for another week or so before you try to take him out.

Kelley tribe: This week, Kelley becomes a much more appealing target. I think Boredog and the rest could be convinced to take her out, if not for that substantial bruise (break?) that Wendy was showing off in last week’s preview. My years of expert Survivor analysis allow me to impart this wisdom to you: It is much harder to win challenges with one working leg than with two. Maybe a full-strength Wendy is worth keeping over Kelley, but unless you’re confident a swap is imminent, it might be better to keep the player that’s still ambulatory. Bonus prediction: If Wendy gets voted out, she hobbles herself to the decision signs and still grabs the torch and tries to play her way back in before realizing what that entails.

Mark

Mana: It sucks to say, but I think Wendy is a goner here. Whether her injury results in being pulled or being voted off out of mercy, it’s the whirling dervish’s final days.

Kama: I said Julie last week as a joke, but maybe she would actually be the first boot here. She’s getting a lot of screen time about failing to live outdoors and failing to find idols, so maybe she fails to keep going in the game. You know, if that tribe would ever lose immunity…

Matt

I see no reason to not pick Aubry and Wendy again. Seems pat, but these two seem the most vulnerable for now.
